What is ManDown?

ManDown is a weekend gathering created for men to support one another in living a life laid down for the good of others. We have a simple formula that we believe will make for a great weekend. This event will include men from all of our Eastern NC & SE Virginia Pillar Churches. (Jacksonville, Topsail, Havelock, Fayetteville, & Norfolk)

Teaching Sessions: We will gather together for Biblical Teaching specifically directed to our roles as men. There will be three main sessions aimed at helping you grow.

Recreational Activities: There will be a variety of outdoor and recreational opportunities on Saturday to include but not limited to cornhole, basketball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, pickleball, gaga ball, fishing, sleeping, sitting, and more.

Friendship: The weekend will provide many of you the opportunity to renew old friendships within our family of churches, as well as the opportunity to forge new ones. It is our hope that our churches would be marked by strong friendship and brotherhood... weekends like this are a way to make that possible.

Registration Options

Standard ($65): The standard registration includes lodging, 3 meals, and participation in the general programming of the event.

Saturday Only ($40): The Saturday only registration includes participation in the programming of the event and dinner on Saturday.

Schedule of Events

The event is intended to be informal and enjoyable for those who participate but here is a rough idea of what we'll be doing throughout the weekend.

Friday:

12-6:00pm - Check-in & Setup
6:00pm - Dinner
7:00pm - Session #1
8:30pm - Recreation & Relaxation

Saturday:

8:00am - Breakfast
9-10:30am - Session #2
10:30-12pm - Cornhole Tournament with Recreation time following
12:00pm - Lunch
1-2:30pm - Session #3
2:30-6:30pm - On-site: Cornhole, Basketball, Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, Pickleball, Gaga Ball, Fishing, Sitting, Sleeping, etc..

Basketball game - 3:00-4:00
Volleyball game - 4:00-5:00
Ultimate game - 5:00-6:00
6:30pm - Travel Home or Dinner off site

Age Limit
The ManDown event is open to men ages 12-114 years old.

Linens & Towels
Linens and towels are NOT provided at the campground- bring your own!

Lodging
We will be staying in multiple lodges on site at the retreat center. Each lodge has bunk beds and a common bathroom with showers. You can also tent camp next to the river.  You will have easy access to the bunkhouse for bathrooms and shower.
